Who Do You Condemn?
Let Me Start By Asking Who Do You Condemn?
She sat in front of her video screen on Skype. He sat in the TV studio in his position of self-reflected authority.
Then the interview began like this
“Let me start by first asking you, will you condemn the Hamas attacks?” Asked Mark Austin on Sky News.
The interviewee was neither Palestinian nor Israeli yet the pressure to give a solid for or against reply was clearly huge. She didn’t expect it. He was trained to deliver and deliver he did. He was well programmed and right on time.
She paused, reflected and after being asked at least three times she spoke up.
The person being interviewed gave a smart enough reply to rebuff Austin and his ignorant approach. He then looked lost and almost confused that he couldn’t press which side his interviewee was on. She could see the loaded question was designed to sit her on one side of a very shaky fence. Any reply was designed to make Austin appear more righteous than his interview.
It’s Complex - War In Gaza Won’t Solve Anything
I don't know a lot about the conflict and what I do know is limited.
Both sides feel they are absolutely under the hand of god. Both side are convinced by their righteousness. This also means both sides are absolutely convinced the other is wrong.
And then as always…
Words turn into disagreements.
Disagreements become rows.
Rows become fights.
Fights become wars.
Until the process of war delivers exhaustion.
Exhaustion leads to calm.
Calm leads to rebuild.
A period of tolerance is then had.
The forced tolerance wears thin.
The next generations romanticise the past.
The process then repeats itself.
The Conversation Of God In War
War is back. Death has returned. Mothers sit in dust holding their dead children.
And once the conversation of God becomes involved the warmongers feel they now have an open hand to express any or all action based on faith. The masses blame god whilst the actions are anti-god.
This is not a who do you support conversation. It cannot be. It never will be. This is an open festering wound that can be fixed, but will always held together by tolerance and not resolution.
So asking whose side you are on isn't the real question. That question is just a mirrored provocation to enhance the righteous standing of the person asking the question.
In fact, this is a question of sheer stupidity and a lack of historical understanding. It is a question based on an event, not a long-term or repeated historical pattern.
Of course, all human beings will be disgusted by what Hamas did. It is an abhorrence against humankind. Nothing can justify that horror against innocent Israelis.
Of course, all human beings will be disgusted at the ethnic cleansing and catastrophic response against the people of Palestine.
There Can Be No Side To Take
There is no side. This is the end of the most recent tolerance and the mental debasing and demonic response that again reveals the darker nature of what humans can become. This is bastard war.
Some say revenge. Some say defence.
Some say defence. Some say revenge.
Yet something strange is taking place.
World leaders appear to be in fear of speaking up against the massive destruction and ungodly action of Israel. And it is ungodly. Yet anyone supporting Palestine (NOT HAMAS) the general public are being held in utter horror with attempts to cancel them.
Both are wrong. Neither are right.
As an observer I was shocked to see what Hamas did. As an observer I am shocked to see what Israel is doing. Yet am I to take a side because the mass media demand I take a side?
War cannot and never resolves anything. Israel cannot eradicate the Palestinians. They cannot eradicate the beliefs or others. They cannot eradicate the nationality that they love. War only creates exhaustion. It then plants seeds that will grow into future wars.
Yet neither can Palestines eradicate Israel.
I don’t think that is what the local population want. I don’t think that is what normal people want. I don’t think any rational human being wants to see another human being blown into dozens of pieces.
They real question was never who do you support. The real question is why are reporters like Austin alongside all reports, influencers and world leaders failing to condemn the madness, the blood-soaked carnage of families that you and I can watch daily everywhere and anywhere on our phones, computers or TVs.
Who side are you on?
There are no sides. Neither side can win anything. This is simply a redistribution of anger that will lead to a tolerance phase until next time.
What we are seeing isn’t the start. What we are seeing in Gaza isn’t the end. This is simply part of the long long story.
Whilst leaders take the stage on TV and blame others mothers free their chidlren from concrete and hold their shattered bodies in their hands.
