Fame Glee Perception Zoomanity
Fame, Glee, Perception, Zoomanity Around 24 hours ago around 50 of them arrived. They slept outside all night, they laughed, shouted, made noises, sat in silence, ate chips, drank coke, then silently as if someone clicked their fingers to snap them out of it, they walked away in silence after the passing of two small coaches with their idols sat there behind black screens. I wondered what the fans must have felt at that point or were they hypnotized? Fame is not as new as we might think. Nimrod of old wanted fame by building a tower as high as heaven itself. Pharaoh wanted to be immortalized by fame with the statement of stones laden with secrets to the stars and eternal life. Today we see the stage seekers, T.V. nobodies and the very modern cult of the significant all seeking, wanting, chasing fame. Yet once famous the famous then take stardom to a new level. They are covered, protected and kept away from not only the public touch but the public eye also. Why? In some cases fame can only be built around myth, around perception of a reality that really has no existence. I met a famous musician. His reputation went way before him. Hard rocker, womanizer, drug taker, you name it he was the ultimate in anti-society rules... or so they, Zoomanity told us. When we met he was quiet, intelligent, sharp, bright and very much the opposite to what he was presented, boxed and wrapped up as from the eyes those that count the cash. That made me wonder as I was watching a TV cast from a show called Glee from my apartment window as the excited crowds begged to see them just for a moment, hear a single word from their mouths, get a signing or even close contact at any level. The crowds had waited for over a day in rain. The cast ran out, into a blackened bus and drove past them beeping their horns to get the rain soaked teens to move out of the way as the stars drove passed almost invisible from the outside. I wondered. If the crowd had met them face-to-face would they not be as they have been presented? Would they not talk and act like their TV characters? Would they not fulfill the imagination of the teens as they reveled their true selves in a moment of relaxation whilst talking? While the famous get more famous, they take the cash from the kids and the hypnotized, the kids make them rich yet they can't even give them the moment of a 'hello'. People in the fame business are rarely what they appear to be. Fame is acting, acting is business, business is money. Zoomanity is very clever, it knows if the famous are over-revealed, the sales and the powerful hold of the famous weakens. Zoomanity also knows that the more mystery, the more grip they have over the followers. Reveal less, tell them more is a mantra of the Zoo keepers. They also love the idea that you practice your life through the practices of the famous, despite the reality that the life of the famous is rarely what is given to the public and most usually a fabrication of minds tuned into money. That's show business! Has the show got you in it's grip? When I met the musician above I admit I was unexpectedly surprised yet why should I have been? Zoomanity gets it, the have done the math, they love to absorb. Once absorb you'll vibrate at a level they can hold you at, once in, like the web of a spider, getting out takes something special. Famous, really? Question everything, escape from the myth of the plastic fame-game. Escape from Zoomanity.
