Moment of Shift

Imagine a man. He is average, just an average man. Average height, average clothes, average life. His skin is gray, his hair is thinning, he wears an ill fighting black or a pin stripped suit with black shoes he bought from an average man's clothing shop. He is trying day after day, week after week to achieve more in his life. The more he tries, the harder it gets, he keeps trying. He wants a big detached house with a big lounge and a big garden for his big family. He also wants a big flash car, in silver with 22" wheels, in chrome with low profiles tires and a full leather interior so every time he pulls into the office car park at home the neighbor's know he has made it. By the way he wants a Mercedes AMG CLK ... he loves the 3 star badge! And holidays. He already has two weeks a year to Menorca in Spain singing 'viva espana' on karaoke night but he wants more. He wants to go where the guys in the top floor go each year to the Florida and maybe even a trip to New York or somewhere else with a bit more glam-bam that sounds cool and 'made it' in the office. In work he shows his high, his excitement, his passion for working. At home he sits in front of the TV every night, drinking cheap wine and clicking back and forward on the remote control as his wife sleeps on the sofa. So here he is, in the city, the big city of dreams. The train is ram-jam-packed with average people just like him. This is the World of the Zooman! There's no place for humans here. While on the train being crushed by an over stocked population a thought flashes into his mind. ..."what the hell am I doing here?" When he says "here" he means everything. The job the stress the people the noise, everything the world of zoomanity has built dreams on that are unsustainable. The train stops and along with the masses he is carried off the train by what looks like millions of ants racing forward with one single purpose. They all go in the direction of the worlds theater of dreams - the office! As he gets hurried along forward he can feel cold sweat on his gray skin! His heart palpitates, the usual noise has become a deafening noise. He stops despite the huge sway of people moving forward, he stays rooted to the ground in one place. It's the moment. It's the point. Its the split second that turns every person around... or destroys them. His old leather case, packed with written out reports and more plans and a ham and cheese sandwich drops to the floor, he turns around and pushes through the mass of mankind walking in the opposite direction, against the masses until he has enough room to pick up his pace. He runs and runs and runs and runs until he gets to the edge of the city. His moment of realization has come, it has arrived. This is the point he has began to wake up from the unreality of Zoomanity. The unreality of un-real dreams. The dreams of a manufactured belief that life has to be the way we are told it has to be. The money dream can collapse and often does. Does this mean cash is wrong or wealth? Not at all but the pursuit of those things with an end result being happiness is a myth of zoomanity. The questions we must ask ourselves is the question based on life. Life is time, not time is money. To say time is money is another myth. Time really is life and everyday we live we head towards our finality - death! So how we live our life is important but sadly some only awaken to it's importance when close to death. They will say, if only, I wish I could do it all again. Yet the truth is - you can do anything you want to do in life but you must take back control of your life. The guy above realized what was going on. He was young enough to stop and change direction. Age is not a barrier here though your moment of thought can happen at any point in your life. Today, tomorrow or it might have happened years ago. The lesson here is this. The world gives you what you want but only when you do the trick like the animal you get a reward. But is what you want what you actually need? Chasing what you want is usually chasing what you have been told what you want. When you finally discover what you need that is when your life will change forever. I hope this small article helps you. I'd love your opinion on it.
