The Battle of YOU

There is a battle taking place right now with you, in you. It's called ... the battle for YOU. Today you will have over 100,000 words pass before your eyes and brain. Some won't enter, some will. These words, messages are fighting to get you first. See what happened to Matt. Matt was having trouble making decisions of any kind. His business wasn't going great, in fact he was struggling big time with countless debts rising and tearing his confidence to shreds. Talk of recession and downturns all around him never helped. His wife didn't like it, she fought daily with him about doing better, making more money, being a success like his pals. Matt was unhappy, sad and lifeless. With no one to turn to Matt headed for the self-help area in the bookshop. He bought books, he read them, his ideas and directions began to change. Next h went to seminars, he watched, he listened, he went away with more ideas. The bought DVDs, listened to CDs and read the manuals that went with them devouring every word as he read. Matt did this for 5 long years. At the end of the 5 years Matt was a mess. His business was almost dead. His life was almost in shatters. His thinking was so active it no longer allowed him to sleep at night. He didn't realize but he was now facing a new problem, it was his own 'Battle for You' Matt had fallen victim and was at war. At war with himself. External thinkers, forces, advocates and gurus were battling for his mind. TV, media, radio and the deceptive web of deceit that can be the internet. And Matt had walked right into the web, being unable to free himself from the powerful glue like concepts that were trying to take over his life. Poor Matt. Destroyed by the very things he thought would save him. You see Matt isn't the only one being attacked, you are too. It's possible you are being asked by someone, somewhere to shed your old way of thinking, your old beliefs and old habits in return for a newer, better, bigger, fuller way of thinking that seems to have more purpose. Matt thought so. Yet why are some so convinced to the point of battle that they have the best way and know the best way for you? In a world dominated by the internet it seems we now all have the chance of becoming new gods for a connected generation. The possibilities of seeing and hearing ourselves radiating light into the planet has never been easier. And of course, there is nothing wrong in that. Yet the peddlers of the new ways, new thinking, new beliefs, new religion are chasing you, and why? ... what do they get from this battle of you? They want your dedication. They want your support. They want your heart. They want your money. They want and will take, chew up and spit out your life. And when they move on ... you are left behind to sweep up the mess. This in turn gives them their significance in a throw away world. It gives them the divine status they want, with the incencerity of a stone god. And they leave people like you in their wake, lost and finished. And why am I talking about this? I am not saying this Battle for you is always bad, it isn't. Some times and lots of times it can be good for you to have your eyes and ears opened to new, fresh ways of thinking. But here is the key so you can always win the battle for you. The key is this. If you don't know yourself, they will tell you who you are. When they tell you who you are if you trust and believe them, you are then stuck in a cycle of someones else thinking for a very long time. This is the Battle! Yes... like all of those guys that join, follow and sign up into massive emotion driven events and then become evangelist for this new 21 century throw-away faith for life. Some will leave family, leave wives, leave husbands, leave kids and more behind them because the battle for you has been won and beat them into mental submission. The problem is these guys are living the vision of another. Matt was living the vision of another. He had taken on a new shell-like persona and become another person, not himself, almost like a shadow rising from his deepest parts. Yes the shadows are there and can be manipulated out. His was out and in full flow. Think about it. Are you repeating what you have been told or read or been taught in a class, in a book, at an event, on a DVD or more? Your initial reaction could be, 'not me, I think for myself' but think about it. Where do the things you say come from each day? A book or the voice of another? Or are you living your truly authentic self? That means YOU, do you know and understand who you truly are? This means you should still read and still discover but you should take ONLY the things the parts the tiny elements that are in harmony with your you. Because if you take on the whole concept of someone else, it'll end in disaster for you. No one can be someone else indefinately ... it isn't possible. So when that shell comes off, you are left with NOTHING! The battle for you by these people will have been won. You will have gone, lost into the abyss of the thinking (and gain) of others. So lets talk about YOU. Who are you? Are you unhappy right now? If you are, how do you sort it. You find out the real reason you are unhappy and then understand why you are in that place that is the key. If you don't do that, becoming happy isn't possible. It turns out Matt's dad always thought Matt was a waste of time. Matt's dad had a hard life and worked until he was 67. Matt had grown up believing he couldn't achieve anything or at least that's what his dad had told him everyday. Matt thought he was unhappy because he wanted something new, change. It wasn't, he was unhappy because of what happened to him when he was a child. ONLY THEN... when Matt understood that it was understnading his past was his key to the future could Matt finally create his own life, a life that would mean he would and could win all the 'battles for you' for most of his life. Matt is now happy. His wife loves him. Not only does Matt win his battles, he has won his own war because he now understands himself. This is all about the battle for you. Don't surrender. Don't give up. Dig deep, very deep and you will win this battle for you.
